you know. the gen-x classic from john hughes?
there's a musical line in the song that hovers at the edge of my nostalgia threshold and brings to mind the cake scene at the end of the movie. that's not to say that further is a straight-up rip-off, but rather elements of it are homages (intended or not) to awesome 80's style melodies.
correatown is the musical creation of angela correa along with mike corwin, jenni tarma and rob poynter. based out of the eastside of LA, the group brings to their music lo-fi sounds with choral, sweet vocals and melodies and choruses that threaten to become earworms. their music has been featured on several television series already (how i met your mother and grey's anatomy are a couple) and angela's voice has even served as jenna fischer's in walk hard: the dewey cox story.
in short, correatown is making highly likable music.
have a listen to further - i dare you to not be charmed.
if i can't let this go
i'm telling you,
i won't make it another year
if i go all the way
i'm telling you,
i can see all these things come in clear
'cause we have
so much love
but we need so much more
we have so much love
but we need so much more
if we go on like this
i'm telling you
we won't make it another year
but if we go all the way
i'm telling you
we'll finally see all these roads come in clear
'cause we have
so much love
but we need so much more
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we have a fascination with the darkness
although we're standing in light
we have the strongest sense of kindness
but still we can't treat ourselves right
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we go further
we go further
we go further
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we have a fascination with the darkness
although we're standing in light
we have the strongest sense of kindness
but still we can't treat ourselves right
we have so much love
but we need so much more
we go further
